“Wait A Minute-It’s A One-Peice!” Yeah, That’s A Romper

Life

I am thinking this is the year I jump on the Romper Train. So far my wardrobe only consists of one romper (and it has a beach-cover-up vibe). Therefore, my wardrobe could really use some romper-lovin this summer. I am ready to take rompers to the next level!

Since we’re talking about rompers, I have to bring up this video that my BFF Katie shared with me months ago.

I think girls wear rompers to brunch?

It’s just a very simple way to make a very strong statement with one piece of clothing.

Here are some of my favorite rompers of the season:

This one's from Urban Outfitters. I would feel like Katniss with this glamorous yet tough-girl look.

I saw this romper at Target quite a while ago and I should have made the purchase ASAP because (not surprisingly) it is now sold out.

Bachelorette party, anyone? I love this romper from Forever 21.

Who knew rompers could look good in the long sleeve variety, too? Way to make that happen, Forever 21.

Elephants + Black/White = Perfection. ASOS, you've outdone yourself.

This one is from ASOS and it might be my favorite. What perfect party attire, am I right?

After finding all of these rompers, I tweeted:

Rompers are way too risky to buy online. But boy am I tempted! #girlprobs

Can I get an amen?!

Christmas Wish List

Uncategorized

I have a festive family-the kind that all shouts “Timber!” when my dad cuts down the Christmas tree. The kind that sings “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” and “Roll Out The Barrel” at baseball games (even if the game is minor-league and no one else stands to sing). The kind that busts out maracas for our birthdays so we can shake them and exclaim, “it’s my birthday” just for the fun of it and to relive a funny memory from a road trip for good time’s sake.

My dad always jokes that he’s going to make a Christmas list with several pages, probably an appendix, and definitely pictures. So, I now present to you my illustrated Christmas list. Keep in mind this list is not exclusive and is merely ideas.

Here we go:

Image

1. To-Go mug/Tumblr such as this Anne Taintor one.

2. Boots-maybe gray or black.

3. A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book.

4. Cute clothes, like this shirt.

5. I love these leg warmers!

6. Scarves, perhaps from Etsy and preferably infinity scarves.

7. Cute dresses like this one. I can’t find the link, but I loooove the gold.

8. Basically anything from Paper Source but especially a calendar!

9. I could see myself wearing some kind of fur scarf like this.

10. I think this is the best sweater ever!

11. Artwork by Marc Johns or other artists I like (ie Kelly Rae Roberts, Leigh Standly, Amy Borrell, etc)

And that concludes this year’s illustrated Christmas Wish List. Cheers!

Morgan and Paul are Hitched

Uncategorized

I was honored to spend this Labor Day celebrating the wedding of a very special couple. Morgan and Paul are two of the most joy-filled, creative, and in-love couples I’ve ever seen, and I loved the uniqueness of their whole day. The newlyweds truly planned an extraordinary ceremony followed by an enchanted evening.

Real talk: On Friday night, Lisa and I were looking too good to stay in all night, so we hit up one of my favorite downtowns and had a really great time together catching up on life and having lots of fun along the way. The evening also turned into quite an interesting endeavor including a few wrong turns (DEFINITELY my bad) and seeing it all to say the least.

Tib Formal

Uncategorized

On Friday night, my res building had a formal dinner. We had a really good time getting dressed up and eating above average not-quite-caf food. The evening included a few videos commemorating the year as well as awards…and my suite got the CLEANEST GIRLS SUITE award (although that award must not account for the shower…ha).

Becca & I were both quite pleased with this picture… no red eye! 😉

Early To Rise…And Give Advice

Uncategorized

I enjoyed a really convenient moment this morning. I had to try out a new outfit, but it was (college student speaking) very early in the morning. I was planning to leave my room a little after 7AM today for a presentation, so I picture messaged Victoria this morning. Two reasons why this became a convenient morning:

  • Victoria is fashionable
  • Victoria is an early riser

Therefore I was able to get my outfit double-checked before leaving my room.

Oh, and the presentation went pretty well, too.

This is my texting conversation with Victoria this morning. What a good friend.
Yes, she was running at the crack of dawn this morning…she’s a stud!
